Our History

Founded in 2013, Sonoscan Medical Diagnostic Center has been contributing it's fair quota to excellent medical diagnostic services in the Federal Capital Territory and it's environs. What started as a small diagnostic center has grown over the years to now providing diagnostic services to thousands of patients annually Our journey began with a simple mission: to make accurate and timely diagnostic services accessible to everyone. By this mission we strive to accomplish a vision we hold dear in our hearts. And this vision is to offer services aimed at contributing to the prevention of non-communicable diseases ( NCDs) in Nigeria and reducing the mortality rate thereof. A very important aspect of our services is preventive medical services. It is a common saying that when health is lost something significant is lost. It should also be added that without health, wealth is nothing.

At Sonoscan Medical Diagnostic Center and in all our associate offices we give priority to promoting health through preventive medical services.

Our major area of emphasis is Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) because they are responsible for 30% of all deaths and 20% of premature deaths in adults aged 30-70 years. The major NCDs include cardiovascular diseases (Hypertension, Heart diseases and Stroke), cancers, diabetes, and respiratory diseases.

Very often, some of these diseases such as hypertension and diabetes silently damage vital body organs such as the kidney, the heart, the brain and the liver. Cancers such as prostate, cervical and breast cancers may go on, undetected for a long time, before clinical manifestation.

Primary Prevention

Promoting lifestyles that would discourage the occurrence of these diseases through education, healthy habits, and early intervention strategies.

Secondary Prevention

Early detection of diseases at a point when they can be managed to achieve maximum longevity through regular screenings and check-ups.
